The Coolidge Corner Theater

The Coolidge Corner Theater in Brookline will always hold a special place in my heart.

It was the site of my very first date with Andrew, our junior year at BC.  We saw I Heart Huckabees on a Thursday night. (I'm so thankful that this was out first date, as our second one was dinner at the Cheesecake Factory at the Atrium Mall.  Andrew borrowed someone's mother's PT Cruiser to drive us over.  Not as romantic, right?)

We actually decided to get our engagement photos taken right outside the theater for posterity.

Well, our love for the Coolidge Corner Theater has been recently reignited when we discovered they serve beer and wine during their evening showtimes!  We went to a 9 o'clock showing of Friends With Kids a couple weeks back, and both enjoyed a glass (or two) of Malbec with the feature film.  They serve it in little plastic cups, and even though it's perfectly legal, it felt a little sneaky and mischievous!

It's really a charming theater, complete with a red velvet curtain that parts when it's showtime! They show indie films and things you might not be able to catch anywhere else.  My mom appreciates that they seem to keep the volume of their speakers at a reasonable level. (Gotta love her.) If you live in the area, go!

Spring Wishlist

With April right around the corner, it's time to start filling out the spring wardrobe!  Here are some items that have caught my eye.

These sandals from Emerson Fry are so cute.  I think I'd wear them all spring/summer-long!

I already bought this dress from Madewell's spring line to wear for our vacation down in Cabo.  I can't wait until it's warm enough to wear up in Boston.

How pretty is this patterned scarf? Those patterned shorts, too!

I've been loving the neutral/neon trend happening this spring, but couldn't stomach the price of these pretty flats from Kate Spade.

But then I found these pretties for $11(what?!) at Old Navy.  You bet I scooped them right up!

I really like this neutral clutch, from Death & Texas.

I spotted these wedges on Pinterest and just about died when I saw they were from Payless, and only $39.99.

This dress, via Cup of Jo.  (Reminds me of the skirt/top Erika Powell wore in Better Homes and Gardens.)

A chambray shirt.  (My sister says she lives in hers.)

This, which I thought was a bangle, but is actually a ring...

And for those April showers...
